The spec what we're building

The problem

Our block has potlucks, borrowed ladders, extra garden starts, and little clean up days, but everything gets lost in a chat thread. We need a quiet place for plans, signups, and reminders.

What it should feel like

  • Small and private. Built for one block, building, club, or parent group.
  • No social feed. Just plans, signups, and what needs a volunteer.
  • Useful sharing. Borrow a drill, offer extra chairs, or claim napkins for Saturday.

Screens

  1. Circle home — upcoming events and open needs.
  2. Event plan — RSVP, food/item signup, tasks, and notes.
  3. Borrow board — items people are happy to lend.
  4. Reminder settings — gentle nudges, never spam.

Acceptance criteria

  • Create a private circle by invite link.
  • Add an event with RSVP and bring/borrow signups.
  • Members can claim an item or task in one tap.
  • Reminders are opt-in and digest-friendly.

Out of scope

Public event discovery, payments, ads, and social posting.
